Vancouver is living at a different pace right now. The city is busy day and night for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Visitors/tourists from all around the world are there to cheer for their athletes and in their free time discover this beautiful city.
At least one time in their life people experienced losing a personal effect while vacationing. You see that situation quite often. You go in a restaurant and you realize later that you forgot your umbrella, your gloves, your glasses or even your wallet. For me I don't know why but I have this bad habit of forgetting my gloves everywhere.
But did you know that right now in Vancouver Public Transit System there is an increase in the number of lost goods?! Right now you are probably thinking the same thing as me; a lot of toques, gloves, cellular phones, some wallets and more.
But what I don't understand is how you can forget a dental retainer with a tooth still in it in a public bus? What the heck?! In a bus!! What were you thinking of removing that thing from your mouth in the first place!!! And what? You decide to put it slowly beside you on the bench?!! Come on!
You think I made up that story but NOOOO! It's the truth. The Vancouver Public Transit System stated that there were dealing with a massive mountain of lost treasures, including this dental retainer!!
Another even better on the list is an artificial limb! They didn't specify if it was an arm or a leg but can you believe that?!!! The guy got help from the bus driver to get in, got a seat and what?! he decides to remove his leg just to make himself comfortable, and Oups! Time flies and he realized he's at destination, so he walks down the bus, leave Mr. Limb behind and walks home perfectly fine!! Oh I see! It's the Magic Bus!! Woohoo! I can walk now!!
What kind of world are we living! Come on! There's no such thing as The Magic Bus, because if it would exist I would pop in and get out a few blocks away with a slim body, wrinkle free and no more beaver tail boobs!
But just thinking of it, that would be a better world, right?!!

Olympic Fashion
I don't know if you're like me but I love watching the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics! I have no preferences in the sport; I cheer for all of them. Of course I cheer little bit more for Canada! I'm happy for everyone who wins and really sad for everyone who loses. These athletes are amazing, no matter where they come from. They all have the same goal, winning. Winning for their personal satisfaction but also for their country. They compete against each other but they also respect each other. That's the magic of the Olympic.
Another reason why I watch the Olympic is that I really like the outfits. Yes I know! what is wrong with me?!! But you have to agree with me, there is an Olympic Fashion!!! I have to say that this year almost every country has an unique outfit and it's so cool! When the athletes showed up at the Opening Ceremony it was beautiful! Each athlete were proud to represent their country by their outfits.
Of course my favorite outfit is Canada!!! I like also their accessories! I have a little preference for these red Olympic mittens. You can buy them at HBC/Zellers for $10. Did you know that they already sold 1.5 million pairs of these mittens?!!!!
Well before they are sold out I should go first thing in the morning to pick couple of pairs. Like that I would have a souvenir of the 2010 Winter Olympic.

Today is a special day for me. Yeah!!! I finally started my own Blog!! I was always thinking of having a place where I would be able to express my ideas, feelings, concerns and opinions on different subjects and that's it, Today is the Big Day!!
I just sat in front of my computer thinking what subject should I talk for my first day. I was thinking and thinking and suddenly I realized that I didn't have a clue of what I wanted to say. I had a blank...a complete blank.
Should I talk about politics, weather, gardening?!! Or should I talk about camping or home renovation?!!! I DON'T KNNNNNNNNNNOW! I don't want to seem boring for my first article. Think, think Lise.... nop, nothing came up. I should sleep on it tonight and some ideas will probably come back in the middle of the night. Yeah that's what I will do.
Meanwhile I can talk about myself. I live in Alberta for 20 years in a small rural community called New Sarepta. I live with my partner Rock and our two sons Sebastien (22) and Alexandre (13). I do my best each day to show my kids that I love them and that I'm there for them. For sure I make mistake, we all do! Kids don't come with an instruction book!! We have 2 dogs named Cloe and Kosmo and 1 cat named Rusty. We are a happy family!
I'm originally from Montreal, Quebec and I'm proud to be Quebecer! My first language is French and you will probably notice some errors in my English writing. If you see some mistakes please let me know. It will help me to not make the same mistake twice. You learn by your mistakes, right?!!
That's it for today. Give me your comments or ideas! Have a super day!
